چکیده
More than 50% of patients who survived stroke have a chronic disability. The National Institute Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) is scoring system to determine the neurologic deficit patient. This study analyzed severity based on baseline NIHSS score as determinant for 30-day post-ischemic method uses retrospective cohort design medical records and registry ischemic in Bethesda Hospital Yogyakarta. During admission, predictive factors disability subjects were evaluated. assessment was measured at 1x24 hours after admission. Disability using simplified modified Rankin questionnaire (smRSq) Indonesian version stroke. Statistical analysis includes univariate, bivariate, logistic regression multivariate data analysis. 84 with occurred 22 (26.2%). Logistic show that Neutrophil Lymphocyte Ratio (NLR) (RR: 4.488, CI: 1.873–10.756, p: 0.001) 28.563, 2.891–282.181, 0.004) together significantly affect mRS Patients admitted higher 28.5 fold risk worse functional outcome those lower scores. factor

Serum albumin level as a predictor of ischemic stroke outcome.
BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE Animal studies showed that human albumin therapy is strongly neuroprotective in focal ischemia. The aim of our study was to determine if relatively high serum albumin level is associated with decreased risk of poor outcome in ischemic stroke patients. METHODS Seven hundred fifty-nine consecutive patients with acute ischemic stroke were included. Functional outcome was m...

Serum Albumin Level as a Predictor of Ischemic Stroke Outcome To the Editor: We read with great interest the recent article by Dr Dziedzic et al1 on the relationship between serum albumin level and ischemic stroke outcome. Even though low serum albumin has been associated with an increased incidence of stroke in epidemiologic studies,2 a high serum albumin level in acute stroke patients was des...

متن کاملThe Pediatric Stroke Outcome Measure: A predictor of outcome following arterial ischemic stroke.
OBJECTIVE To evaluate the relationship between neurologic outcome at 1 month following diagnosis of pediatric arterial ischemic stroke (AIS) and motor and adaptive behavior outcomes at 12 months. METHODS This prospective longitudinal observational cohort study recruited children from a single tertiary children's hospital diagnosed with first AIS between December 2007 and November 2013. Neurol...
متن کاملIs the serum ferritin level a considerable predictor for hemorrhagic transformation of ischemic stroke?
Background: Hemorrhagic Transformation (HT) of Ischemic Stroke (IS) is a detrimental complication. This study investigated the association between serum ferritin level and HT in patients with massive IS of middle cerebral artery. Methods: Thirty patients with massive IS of middle cerebral artery were enrolled in this prospective cohort study. They were divided into two groups based on...
